MakerBot Method Tough PLA Material (Precision PLA, 0.75kg)

MakerBot Method Tough PLA Material (Precision PLA, 0.75kg)

      Product form

Ideal for functional prototypes, snap-fit parts, and durable assemblies where standard PLA isn’t strong enough. Tough PLA is a material that is great for mid-stage prototypes because of its ease of use and office-friendliness. An added benefit over PLA is its durability, pliability, and machinability which makes it perfect for snap fits and assemblies. MakerBot Tough PLA gives you high durability and toughness.

For printing at scale, the 1A Extruder is recommended to achieve optimal performance on Method series printers.

Print With the Method XL Printer

The Method XL supports this material with the appropriate setup, delivering reliable results across a range of prototyping and production applications.

        Durable and Accurate

Tough Precision Model Material is a thermoplastic engineered for durable, strong, and dimensionally accurate 3D printed prototypes and fixtures. With up to 2X the impact-strength of ABS and similar tensile and flexural strength properties, MakerBot Tough Material gives you high durability and toughness.

        Material Type

Tough Precision Model Material: extensively-tested for the highest reliability and measurably accurate parts.

        Smart Spool

The Smart Spool contains all the information that the printer needs, including material type, colour, and amount remaining via an RFID chip. This is communicated directly to MakerBot Print, while a built-in desiccant absorbs any moisture exposure during the material loading process, ensuring your material stays fresher longer.

        Storage Environment

Store MakerBot Method Tough Precision Material in the included a vacuum-sealed metalised polyester bag to avoid moisture absorption from air; long-term exposure to humidity can compromise material quality and performance. Make sure the built-in desiccant is in the spool to absorb any moisture exposure during the material loading process.
