The Smart Spool™ contains essential material data, including material type, colour, and remaining filament, communicated via an integrated RFID chip directly to MakerBot Print. This system enables automatic material recognition while helping maintain optimal material condition during use.

Store filament in the included vacuum-sealed metalised polyester bag to minimise moisture absorption from the air. Long-term exposure to humidity may compromise material quality and print performance. Ensure the built-in desiccant remains inside the spool to absorb any moisture introduced during handling or material loading.
