It delivers the same strength and thermal performance as standard PC-ABS, with added self-extinguishing properties suitable for electrical, automotive, and industrial components. PC-ABS FR is flame retardant, with a rating of UL-94 V0.

For printing at scale, the 1C Extruder is recommended to achieve optimal performance on Method series printers (Standard extruder on Method XL).

This is communicated directly to MakerBot Print, while a built-in desiccant absorbs any moisture exposure during the material loading process, ensuring your material stays fresher longer.

Storage Environment

Store in the included a vacuum-sealed metalised polyester bag to avoid moisture absorption from air; long-term exposure to humidity can compromise material quality and performance. Make sure the built-in desiccant is in the spool to absorb any moisture exposure during the material loading process.

SR-30 Compatible

For printing the most complex geometries with easy support removal, PC-ABS and PC-ABS FR can be used in conjunction with Stratasys SR-30 dissolvable support material. SR-30’s unique compatibility with PC-ABS results in dimensionally accurate prints with clean finishes.

Flame Retardant

PC-ABS FR is flame retardant, with a rating of UL-94 V0. Flame retardancy is a common requirement for materials used in the production passenger carrying vehicles such as rail cars and automobiles and airplanes. The benefit being that FR extinguishes flames preventing the spread of fire.
