Optimised for the PVA Removal Station

UltiMaker PVA support material is fully compatible with the Ultimaker PVA Removal Station. The station dissolves PVA supports up to 4× faster than still water, using circulating tap water to clean complex geometries with minimal operator effort.

Complex Geometry Support

Designed for dual-extrusion printing, UltiMaker PVA enables the production of complex geometries, internal cavities, and intricate overhangs that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with breakaway supports. After printing, the supports dissolve in water, leaving clean surfaces and fine details intact.

NFC Chip

Ultimaker filament spools include an embedded NFC chip that allows supported printers and the Material Station to automatically recognise the material when loaded. The system reads the tag and applies the correct print settings in the printer and Cura simplifying setup, streamlining workflow and reducing errors.

Storage Environment

Supplied in a sealed, moisture-protected bag with desiccant included to help maintain material quality during transport and storage. Ultimaker advises keeping the filament in the original resealable bag with desiccant after opening to minimise moisture exposure and preserve performance.
